LinkedIn is a great tool, and definitely fulfils the core areas we look for in using internet tools - increasing the speed to do certain tasks: find jobs, and find candidates over a large pool of people. The problems come at the individual level, and to solve those as a candidate you have to think at the individual level rather than at the network level.
